This blog began with our journey to China when we received our adopted daughter and third child, Alexandra. The lady bug is the common symbol, or mascott for adopted Chinese daughters. The blog has since evolved into a journal of our trials, triumphs, joys and complete loss of sanity (that is often restored by copious amounts of chocolate or beer- taken only on an as needed basis, of course), as we embrace daily life with four beautiful little children.

Twin Issues

The boys are taking an acting class and are preparing to be in a play. So far, the director can't get their names right, has mistakenly asked the same kid to read twice, while the other missed his turn, and required the boys to share a script folder, instead giving each boy his own. My boys have some similar features, but definitely look different from each other. The director can't figure out which boy is which, unless he has them open their mouths. Then he can tell because Aaron has teeth missing and Joe still has his baby teeth.

There has been lots of grumbling about all of this. I told the kids to direct their grumbling towards their director, not me. He'll learn. Yes, he'll learn very quickly.
