This blog began with our journey to China when we received our adopted daughter and third child, Alexandra. The lady bug is the common symbol, or mascott for adopted Chinese daughters. The blog has since evolved into a journal of our trials, triumphs, joys and complete loss of sanity (that is often restored by copious amounts of chocolate or beer- taken only on an as needed basis, of course), as we embrace daily life with four beautiful little children.

Twin Confusion
Poor Allie. It must be confusing being seventeen months old with brothers who are the same age. She thinks she has two brothers named Joe-Joe. Either that or she thinks she has a brother named Joe-Joe who can be in two different places at the same time. After just playing with Joe in the other room, she found Aaron still asleep in his bed and pointed and said "Joe-Joe!" No matter how many times we correct her, she insists that Aaron is Joe, even if Joe is standing right in front of her. I suppose if she could talk she would introduce herself like this: "Hi, I'm Allie. This is my brother Joe-Joe and this is my other brother Joe-Joe."
