This blog began with our journey to China when we received our adopted daughter and third child, Alexandra. The lady bug is the common symbol, or mascott for adopted Chinese daughters. The blog has since evolved into a journal of our trials, triumphs, joys and complete loss of sanity (that is often restored by copious amounts of chocolate or beer- taken only on an as needed basis, of course), as we embrace daily life with four beautiful little children.

Back to school

Here we go- back to school!  4th grade, 2nd grade and K!

As "too cool for Mom in public" 4th graders, I'm afraid the only shot I could get out of the boys was this deer-in-the-headlights one.  Either you catch them off guard or you don't catch them at all.  Aaron is in the middle, Joe on the right.

Allie and Christina are still into posing for the big day.  Yay!
