This blog began with our journey to China when we received our adopted daughter and third child, Alexandra. The lady bug is the common symbol, or mascott for adopted Chinese daughters. The blog has since evolved into a journal of our trials, triumphs, joys and complete loss of sanity (that is often restored by copious amounts of chocolate or beer- taken only on an as needed basis, of course), as we embrace daily life with four beautiful little children.

Digging Out

Yep. This storm left its mark. See the tips of our picket fence? It's about 4+ feet high- and thank you, snow plows, for piling it so high that our fence split down the middle. That will keep John plenty busy with 'fix it' work, come this spring.
Such a stoic animal (and not to mention, a little chubby).
Hmmmm... now if I could just get it started...
Good thing boys like to dig
Who's sneaking behind the shed and eating snow?
Aaron attempts to clear the car...he's got a ways to go.
