This blog began with our journey to China when we received our adopted daughter and third child, Alexandra. The lady bug is the common symbol, or mascott for adopted Chinese daughters. The blog has since evolved into a journal of our trials, triumphs, joys and complete loss of sanity (that is often restored by copious amounts of chocolate or beer- taken only on an as needed basis, of course), as we embrace daily life with four beautiful little children.

Twin Confusion

It happens. Even to parents whose twins are fraternal. Early before day break the other morning, John walked into the boys' room to find Joe missing from his bed. He found him curled up next to his brother, sound asleep. John picked him up and returned him to his bed, only to hear-
"Hey, why are you putting me in this bed?" John told him he needed to sleep in his own bed and to go back to sleep.

"But why are you putting me in this bed?", he repeated with a little more determination.

Finally, John realized it was Aaron he had moved, not Joe. "Oops! Sorry about that!, he said, and quietly swapped kids.
