This blog began with our journey to China when we received our adopted daughter and third child, Alexandra. The lady bug is the common symbol, or mascott for adopted Chinese daughters. The blog has since evolved into a journal of our trials, triumphs, joys and complete loss of sanity (that is often restored by copious amounts of chocolate or beer- taken only on an as needed basis, of course), as we embrace daily life with four beautiful little children.

Happy Gotcha Day!

It's hard to believe it's already been one year. After the longest flight of our lives, followed by the scariest cab ride of our lives, we were rewarded with a beautiful baby girl. When you were placed in our arms, you looked at us with wonder and did not shed one tear. In one year you've grown not only in size, but also in the hearts of every person in this family. We could never imagine life without you.
One year ago today, we gotcha- our own daughter whom we couldn't wait to meet.

Happy Gotcha Day Alexandra Rose!
