This blog began with our journey to China when we received our adopted daughter and third child, Alexandra. The lady bug is the common symbol, or mascott for adopted Chinese daughters. The blog has since evolved into a journal of our trials, triumphs, joys and complete loss of sanity (that is often restored by copious amounts of chocolate or beer- taken only on an as needed basis, of course), as we embrace daily life with four beautiful little children.

twin tale

Having twins is always interesting.  What really amazes me sometimes is how different they are in personality and how they grow and mature at different rates.  Case in point:

At the bust stop this morning:  As the bus pulls up, Aaron throws his arms around me and says, "Bye Mom!"  I turn to Joe.  He immediately puts his hands up while scanning the bus for friends who might see us standing next to each other and quickly says, "Don't hug me....don't hug me!"
