This blog began with our journey to China when we received our adopted daughter and third child, Alexandra. The lady bug is the common symbol, or mascott for adopted Chinese daughters. The blog has since evolved into a journal of our trials, triumphs, joys and complete loss of sanity (that is often restored by copious amounts of chocolate or beer- taken only on an as needed basis, of course), as we embrace daily life with four beautiful little children.

We're off and running!

Boys
First grade underway and going well. The noise factor in the house is cut in half when they get on the bus each morning and Mom is loving it! The complaints are starting in already- too much work, too much school, etc. Guess I can start getting used to that! Soccer, acting class, and CCD (with Mom as the teacher)- all going swimmingly.

Girls
Christina gets to "do gymnastics with Allie" this year and she's been talking about it since June. Every person she's ever encountered since then knows about it too. She's told friends, relatives, old ladies in line at the deli...yes, I'd say most of New England knows about it by now.

Allie is settled into pre-school and loves it- no surprise there. This year she's also trying soccer. It will be interesting to see if she's a go-getter or a daisy-picker! Pix to come.
