This blog began with our journey to China when we received our adopted daughter and third child, Alexandra. The lady bug is the common symbol, or mascott for adopted Chinese daughters. The blog has since evolved into a journal of our trials, triumphs, joys and complete loss of sanity (that is often restored by copious amounts of chocolate or beer- taken only on an as needed basis, of course), as we embrace daily life with four beautiful little children.

A r-EEL Problem

The baby American eel a kid brought in last week somehow got sucked down the drain pipe of the holding tank, and is now stuck in a part of the filter that is inaccessible. One of the students found him in there and immediately became attached. As he saw the eel swimming around in the closed portion of the filter, he decided to name him "Lucky", because the fish was still alive. Unfortunately for Lucky, it looks like he will be staying there awhile.
