This blog began with our journey to China when we received our adopted daughter and third child, Alexandra. The lady bug is the common symbol, or mascott for adopted Chinese daughters. The blog has since evolved into a journal of our trials, triumphs, joys and complete loss of sanity (that is often restored by copious amounts of chocolate or beer- taken only on an as needed basis, of course), as we embrace daily life with four beautiful little children.

They All Do This

Just wanted to share a short sample listing of some of the lovely things little kids do...

- Maximum use of phalanges to clear out nasal debris
- Nasal debris transferred to either bedroom wall or mouth
- Test Newton's 3rd law on littlest sister
- Lick disgusting kitchen floor directly with tongue (only if the floor has NOT been recently cleaned)
- Use toilet bowl as a gourmet dip for the pacifier
- Rub eyes with sauce-covered hands during a spaghetti dinner. Scream.
- Upside down view with head between legs (see photo). Yes, we think this one is actually cute.
