This blog began with our journey to China when we received our adopted daughter and third child, Alexandra. The lady bug is the common symbol, or mascott for adopted Chinese daughters. The blog has since evolved into a journal of our trials, triumphs, joys and complete loss of sanity (that is often restored by copious amounts of chocolate or beer- taken only on an as needed basis, of course), as we embrace daily life with four beautiful little children.

Frighteningly Accurate

Last week we had Chinese food for dinner. We were amazed at the accuracy of Aaron's fortune cookie which read:

"You have a yearning for perfection." This, for a child who used to wig out after taking a bite from his sandwich because it no longer looked perfect.

Joe's, on the other hand read:

"...omething in the..."

We don't know what it said... the other half was eaten along with the fortune cookie.
