This blog began with our journey to China when we received our adopted daughter and third child, Alexandra. The lady bug is the common symbol, or mascott for adopted Chinese daughters. The blog has since evolved into a journal of our trials, triumphs, joys and complete loss of sanity (that is often restored by copious amounts of chocolate or beer- taken only on an as needed basis, of course), as we embrace daily life with four beautiful little children.

Yeah, She's Two

You know they're two when:

- You find yourself having a one way conversation that ultimately results in the same response- "NO!" "Allie, come here"... "NO!" "Allie, don't come here"..."NO!"
- In the event that the conversation doesn't result in a response of "No!", the response, "Mine!" will be used in its stead.
- You find a wooden block in the foot of their pajamas during the morning diaper change.
- You catch them practicing massage techniques on their snack time yogurt.
-You try to explain to female two year olds, without success, that unlike their older brothers, they are incapable of peeing in the toilet while standing up.
-You find them in the kitchen cupboard.
-You are exhausted by the end of the day.
